About the event

Join us at our chapter meeting to hear Ron Rutowski, Professor Emeritus, ASU and President of the Central Arizona Butterly Association, to share information about the two main questions that biologists ask about butterfly coloration. He will share how wing color and color patterns are produced during the life of an individual. Second, he will share why the color and color patterns have evolved. He will share what is known about the ways in which the survival and mating success of butterflies are affected by their coloration and how these affects have led to changes in coloration during evolution. He will highlight what is known and not known about the answers to these questions.

This event is open to everyone! RSVP is not required, however if registered, you will receive updates and reminders about the meeting.
