About the event

Join BENA for a citizen science event to help count butterflies. Why butterfly counts? As a result of these counts, the decline in many species has become apparent, bringing attention to conservation requirements. To join the count, you do not need to know how to ID butterflies; extra sets of eyes are always appreciated!

To join in the fun, registration is required by emailing azbutterflygirl@outlook.com. Once registered, you will be assigned a count leader and territory. A $5 donation is appreciated, to help cover costs of the count.

This event is open to everyone! Please note, this is an all day commitment and some count locations could include steep inclines and uneven walking trails.
